By Zeenat Sheikh, May 22 2015

The new Citadel™ Patient Care System provides flexible patient care for hospitals that demand safety, security and efficiency from their bed frames and therapeutic mattresses for high dependency patients.

A number of studies have shown that electric profiling beds offer many advantages when combined with good quality mattresses with pressure redistribution. These advantages include a reduction in pressure ulcer incidence as well as a reduction in staff injuries.

Citadel Patient Care System is an integrated medical bed and mattress system which ticks all these boxes.

Integration provides important communication between the bed frame system and patient therapy system. One button delivers a CPR mode
that simultaneously deflates the mattress and levels the frame, and automatic pressure compensation in the seat section occurs when the head of bed is adjusted.

The optional Skin IQ™ Family of compatible powered mattress covers continually draw away excess moisture from the skin/surface interface for microclimate management.
